Als je Buick hoort, dan hoor je waarschijnlijk ook Saab. Waarbij wel moet worden gezegd dat het Zweedse merk Saab bekender is. Het lagere luxe merk. Zo wordt zowel Buick als Saab meestal omschreven. Waarom? Het automerk richt zich zeker op de luxe autoliefhebber en de klasse van het rijden in een Buick. Daar tegenover staan wel fatsoenlijkere prijzen en ook modellen die meer geschikt zijn voor het gezin bijvoorbeeld.

Buick werd in 1903 opgericht in de Verenigde Staten. Het duurde een lange tijd voordat Buick ook meer populair werd onder autoliefhebbers in Nederland en wanneer Buick zelfs in Europa ook populairder werd. Toch heeft echte populariteit in Europa voor Buick altijd op zich laten wachten. Buick richt zich op heel andere afzetmarkten: de Verenigde Staten, China, maar ook Israël en Taiwan. Gelukkig is het Amerikaanse merk Buick een gedegen model dat heerlijk rijdt; een mooie, prima auto.
